God calls us to SHOW the love of Jesus, SHARE HIS Word with everyone, GROW together as HIS family.
Meet the Vicar and Curate

I was born in Surrey and one of my first memories is of electrocuting myself with a potato.
I studied classics then theology at Oxford and promised my fiancee, Alison, that I was only going to live in Hungary for one year after graduation. Two years later I was still there, as Director of Studies at a Bible College, so we got married and Alison flew out to join me. We stayed for five years in all, moving to France in 1996.
After further training and an MA in Theological Research, I was ordained in 2000 and served my curacy at St Michael's Church, Paris (next to Versace, but the fashion sense didn't rub off). 2000 was also the year our daughter, Bethany, was born.
I have been Vicar of Galleywood since 2005, but have been enjoying it more since the beginning of 2010 than I did at any time before that. I said in my first sermon in Galleywood that I wanted to make a difference to people's life-after-death, make a difference to their life-before-death, and break down barriers in the church and the village. I am still committed to all these things on a good day, though sometimes I just want a quiet life and a good night's sleep and people to be happy and kind, which aren't bad life aims either.
I blog at www.galleywood40.weebly.com - why not visit and tell me what you think?
Fondly,
Andy
Hello,
I am Stephanie the Curate (a trainee vicar). Having been a teacher working with deaf children for twenty years I am now enjoying a new career learning the role of a vicar with Andy. Maybe I will meet you around the village, or if you come to church to get married, for Baptism, or more sadly when you need someone to take a funeral. You could come and meet us at the Church on the Common - it is such a pretty church it is worth a visit.Looking forward to seeing you,
Stephanie
